Jury Service

What should I wear?

You should wear business casual attire. 

Can I bring children?

Children are not permitted in the courtroom. Licensed child care providers can be obtained from Child Care & Resource Referral at (765) 284-0887.

Do I have to go through security?

You will have to pass through a metal detector upon entering the courthouse.  Weapons of any kind are not permitted in the courthouse.

How long will jury service last?

 The length of service will be a few hours or until assigned trial is completed.

What about food?

You will be responsible for your own meals on the day of jury selection. During the trial you should be prepared to provide your own meals, but the Court will inform you if meals will be provided during that particular trial. Once deliberations begin, the Courts will provide meals.

Will I be compensated for my time?

If you are required to report, you will be paid $17.50 and $40.00 per day if you are a sworn member of the jury.

Where should I park?

You will be provided parking with a pass if selected.
